Life Histories - The most precious thing you can leave your family is a written history of your life experiences. I will interview you and write your story to be shared with family and all future generations to come.

Every time I talked to one of my Grannies, I tried to ask them something I really wanted to know and remember. I would jot down names of my great grandparents or a story about an important memory they had. You can do the same thing. Don't let precious family history stories fade away with your loved ones.
This is my Granny. She was 16 years old the day this photo was taken. It was her wedding day and her husband, my grandpa, was 32 years old. Although her family was poor, she wore silk from the "skin out." I never forget the day she and her sister told me the story of her wedding day. Photo was taken in Indian Territory - now Oklahoma - circa 1916.

Time is all so fleeting. The older I get, the faster the days, months and years fly by.
I want to remember the smell of my mother's cooking from our home in the country. I want to hear again, the slam of my granny's screen door as one or more of her many grandkids run through chasing each other. I want to see the barn in the Oklahoma countryside where my grandparents were once married and later milked their cows.
I want to never forget the day my oldest son taught my daughter to climb the cherry tree in the front yard and came in so excited to tell me.
What can be more precious than memories such as this? What stories do you want your family to remember? The stories of life, of strength, courage, fortitude and mishap all shape us and our children should know so they will understand just who they are and what they are made of.
It's not easy for everyone to sit down and write their stories. If you're having trouble, give me a call. I've been writing seniors' stories for a number of years now. I will let your voice come through to all the generations so your legacy will not be lost.
Photo - Recently, a dear distant relative sent this photo to my father. The older man in the photo is my Great-Grandfather - the woman is my Great-Granny - and this is the only photo we have of her. The little boy in the back is my grandfather and the little girls - my great-aunts.
